ON MUSIC

In its nerly hidden loction under an elevated freeway off Rama IV Road, Rain Dogs
continues to be one of the most offbeat art and entertainment venues in the capital.
In addition to screening film documentaries about photography every Tuesday night, the scruffy bar / gallery now hosts films on music on Thursdays.   A recent music film night saw a screening of Control, the haunting Anton Corbijn-directed feature on the short but memorble career of Ian Curtis, singer for Joy Division.   The Thursday night films are followed by a live band performance, and on this prticular evening Rain Dogs hosted the Straight Refugeez, billed as "original US hip-hop with a Khmer twist."
